What's new

Cura is updated continuously, so improvements and fixes arrive as soon as they are ready rather than in large numbered releases. This page lists the changes you can see and use, newest first, and leaves out behind-the-scenes work.

  • Xero: Owners and admins can now connect their own Xero organisation from Settings, using Xero’s normal sign-in and consent screen, and see the connection status.
  • Xero: Approved invoices are created in the connected Xero organisation as sales invoices, with the client added as a contact.
  • Xero: Closing a pay run now posts worker reimbursements and kilometre allowances into Xero Payroll, and you choose the Xero expense accounts they use.
  • Invoicing: Pay runs with reimbursements can be exported for Xero, and the run total now matches each worker’s own line.
  • Quality: Administrators can now record audits, policies and quality metrics, so the Compliance screens that count them no longer read as permanently empty.
  • Forms: Long forms now say in plain English what is missing, jump you to the first problem and let you save a draft.
  • Scheduler: Booking care for a client whose exit date has passed, or marking a future-dated shift as Delivered, now shows a warning first.
  • Scheduler: Group sessions show what each participant will be charged and whether their funding covers it before you confirm.
  • Scheduler: Supported Independent Living houses can now have residents added and shifts rostered, and the house roster shows which week you are viewing with controls to move between weeks.
  • Support at Home: Budget lines now show a warning when a shift band cannot occur on the weekdays chosen, even after the budget is activated.
  • Support at Home: Claim lines and finalised claims now flag when they would push the quarterly budget below zero.
  • Support at Home: Care that does not match any budget line is held for attribution instead of being queued as ready to claim, and attributing it to a line from a different category is flagged first.
  • Clients: Admins and owners can change an NDIS client’s plan management type from the Service & Funding tab at any time after creation.
  • Settings: The price guide import history now explains how many CSV rows it read and how many rates they became.
  • Workers: Workers with no pay rate on file can still have their shifts approved, with a clear warning that payroll is skipped.
  • Scheduler: Shifts can be created again from both the booking wizard and Quick Add, and they appear on the board straight away.
  • Scheduler: Short-notice cancellations are now worked out from the shift’s own date and time, and the approval row shows the amount the client will be billed.
  • Scheduler: There is now a single cancellation path that always asks for a reason and settles the notice period and fee, and the confirmation messages describe what actually happens.
  • Scheduler: Edit Shift now lets you correct a wrong service type, “View in Scheduler” opens the shift you clicked, and Escape closes the Add Shift wizard.
  • Scheduler: Alerts now name the client they relate to, and the two booking screens use the same minimum engagement time.
  • Timesheets: Shifts that cannot be billed are now clearly marked on both the worker paid and client billed figures, and no longer offer Approve anyway.
  • Timesheets: Worker pay now includes weekend, evening and night penalty rates, and payroll lines reconcile on screen, including travel time and top-ups.
  • Invoicing: Draft invoices are no longer counted as revenue, and Invoicing and Reports agree on what is overdue.
  • Invoicing: Shift Billing totals now match the lines beside them, and held revenue has a dollar total.
  • Reports: Delivery figures count only services that were actually delivered, the QFR tab displays correctly, and the Compliance tab matches the Compliance dashboard.
  • Reports: Each hours figure now says what it counts, so different totals on the same screen can be told apart.
  • Workers: The Workers page now shows its compliance documents and payroll records instead of zeros.
  • Compliance: Expired client documents show as Expired rather than Missing, and the dashboard counts them correctly.
  • Compliance: A required document rule can no longer be saved with a validity period that has no number.
  • Support at Home: Delivered care is drawn down against the participant’s budget, cancelled shifts give their money back, and the Current Budget card reflects what has been delivered.
  • Support at Home: The home page now reports real alerts, the Total Budget figure agrees with other screens, and deadline countdowns show the correct time remaining in your local time.
  • Support at Home: Co-contribution rates and remaining balances on the shift screens now show the correct values.
  • Support at Home: Statements no longer show a negative balance held by Services Australia, no longer charge a contribution on personal care delivered after 1 October 2026, and exports reconcile to the lines you can see.
  • Support at Home: Budget grids show the care management pool once, flag Hrs/Qty values that are not quarter-hour multiples, and no longer lose unsaved edits when you activate a budget.
  • Support at Home: Quick Add now offers the participant’s budget lines, and unsaved claim lines no longer use up the equipment cap.
  • Support at Home: Supplier invoices can now be opened and approved, and the lifetime cap on contribution rates is shown with its effective date.
  • Clients: The Goals tab now saves a new goal, an entry date entered during Aged Care onboarding shows everywhere it should, and the Report Incident panel scrolls so you can always reach the submit button.
  • Incidents: An incident can now be worked and closed after it has been reported.
  • Leads: Accept and Create Client opens the add client wizard again, assigning a lead saves, and notes on a lead now appear in the Notes list.
  • Programs of Support can now be created and participants enrolled.
  • Clients: A new Notes & activity timeline brings case notes, progress notes, communications and incidents together on one tab.
  • Clients: Notes & activity entries can be downloaded as a PDF, singly or in bulk over a date range, and the feed can be filtered by date.
  • Clients: Progress notes linked to a shift show whether they are locked or still editable.
  • Compliance: The document worklist now shows which clients need attention, and Clinical Indicators appear as a compact card for Support at Home clients.
  • Compliance: Providers can record monthly clinical indicators such as falls and hospitalisations for each client, and rename custom indicators without losing history.
  • Scheduler: The shift wizard and recurring shifts now warn you when a shift overlaps another for the same client, and the Add Shift wizard checks times, remembers your choices when you go back and warns about worker double-bookings.
  • Timesheets: Manager approval now shows combined Worker paid and Client billed figures that include allowed travel and expenses.
  • Timesheets: Approved, receipted worker expenses and vehicle kilometre allowances now reach payroll as their own lines, and the Xero payroll export carries the right pay item categories.
  • Support at Home: Budget lines show estimated against actual spend and warn early when delivered care will exceed the quarterly budget.
  • Support at Home: Shifts, drawdown and claims now use the rate for the time of day the care was delivered, and claim lines show the rate and time band used.
  • Support at Home: Staff can see which categories a participant is approved for, including Assistive Technology and Home Modification tiers.
  • Settings: NDIS item mappings and Support at Home price plans can now be edited in place.
  • Settings: Team invitations can be revoked or resent, and show when they expire.
  • Settings: Changes to worker requirements and required document rules now apply to existing workers and clients.
  • Settings: Importing a myplace results file now marks claim lines as accepted or rejected, or tells you why nothing matched.
  • Scheduler: Quick Add shifts now become billable like any other shift, and the Scheduler no longer sends signed-in users back to the sign-in page, with a visible loading state on slow pages.
  • Scheduler: Staff Members now see only their own shifts and timesheet information, not other people’s.
  • Invoicing: NDIS claim files now give each re-billed line a new claim reference and warn when the provider’s registration number or ABN is missing.
  • Invoicing: The Recent Claims table shows each claim’s true status.
  • Support at Home: Weekly budget lines are costed by the real number of occurrences, and older lines are flagged where totals changed.
  • Support at Home: Budget lines show the correct Remaining figure and always give feedback when saved.
  • Settings: Editing a form-based required document no longer turns it into an upload-based one, and notification preferences save only the category you changed.
  • Workers: Removing a roster-blocking credential from an onboarding pack no longer keeps blocking rostering.
  • Schedule of Supports: A line whose allocated total and per-period figures disagree now shows a warning with the difference.
  • Team members who were removed can be re-invited and sign back in.
  • Leads: A lead that has already been converted can no longer be used to create a duplicate client.
  • Timesheets: A progress note counts only when it is linked to that exact shift.
  • Security hardening across the app, including tighter access to scheduler data for Staff Members.
  • Timesheets: A weekly approval screen now confirms shifts before they can be billed, approving matching shifts together and listing only the exceptions.
  • Invoicing: Approved billing lines are grouped by how the client pays, with invoice review and NDIS checks before anything is sent.
  • Invoicing: NDIS claim lines now track lodgement and import results, so each line ends as accepted or rejected with the reason.
  • Invoicing: Incomplete, duplicate or future-dated lines are held back, and claim generation refuses clients with no NDIS number or incomplete onboarding.
  • Scheduler: Workers can submit actual times, kilometres, expenses with a receipt photo and a case note from a link on their phone, and admins can send that link from the shift.
  • Scheduler: Travel is priced at the correct per-kilometre rate for modified or accessible vehicles, and NDIS travel costs claim in the form the portal expects.
  • Scheduler: A completed shift now shows what happens to it next and links to where it becomes an invoice line.
  • Clients: A new Plans & documents tab shows one list of a client’s paperwork with one status wording and one compliance figure, and a care plan can be uploaded or summarised.
  • Clients: Required documents can be given an expiry date when collected, and that date drives the expiring and expired warnings.
  • Workers: A worker’s credentials can no longer be cleared without evidence, expired credentials are never shown as verified, and onboarding can be amended at any time.
  • Workers: After you add a worker, Cura offers onboarding as the next step.
  • Support at Home: Delivered care now reaches the participant’s budget ledger automatically, and a month cannot be closed while delivered care is undrawn.
  • Settings: Destructive controls now ask before deleting, and a removed requirement can be put back.
  • Settings: Old web addresses for Cura instances now redirect to the current address, so saved bookmarks keep working.
  • Every list page now puts its main create action in the same place, and objects carry one name throughout.
  • Security hardening across the app, including tighter access controls, security headers and protection of client data between organisations.
  • Scheduler: Completing an aged care shift now saves, and says why in plain English if it cannot.

  • Clients: The NDIS number entered in the Add Client wizard is saved to the client record.
  • Compliance: The dashboard ring and Compliance tiles no longer say “All clear” while mandatory documents are missing, and new gaps appear everywhere.
  • Support at Home: Budget lines stay within their category, and a budget left in draft appears on the dashboard as something to act on.
  • Support at Home: The monthly reconciliation steps describe what they actually do, and a failed drawdown no longer reports success.
  • Workers: Onboarding wording is consistent across the profile and checklist, and manual uploads can be matched to the requirement they satisfy.
  • Email: Bounces and complaints from outgoing email now reach Cura, so bad addresses are suppressed.
  • Support at Home: Quarterly budgets now have service-level lines, can be edited once active and roll over to a new draft each quarter, with delivered shifts and approved supplier invoices drawing down against them.
  • Support at Home: An inline budget grid lets you edit budget lines directly on the participant’s budget.
  • Support at Home: Every hourly service now carries six rates (weekday daytime, evening and night, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday), set per funding source.
  • Support at Home: Monthly client statements show the participant’s own money separately from the subsidy held by Services Australia, with reconciliation, period locking and an exceptions queue.
  • Support at Home: Statements now include cancellations and no-shows, committed equipment funds with expiry, care management hours and nil-service months.
  • Support at Home: Contribution rates come from Services Australia notifications with effective dates, personal care is contribution-free from 1 October 2026, and carryover caps include supplements.
  • Support at Home: Cura can import Services Australia allocations and holds a new quarter’s balance as provisional until confirmed.
  • Support at Home: The three onboarding wizards now capture the same complete set of details, including planning region, case manager and contact preferences.
  • Support at Home: Each page now has one consistent name, a client’s Service & Funding tab shows one budget summary and no contradictory figures, and the Care Management page shows one clear roll-up.
  • Settings: Price plans can be imported from the government price guide, with effective dates and archiving, and the Services catalogue carries Support at Home classifications and per-funding-source rates.
